April's Menopause Café - Weight Management & (Peri)menopause

Thursday 18th April (12.30-1.30pm) - Dr Vera Martins, OMC's Naturopath

Thu 18 April - 12.30-1.30pm - Register Today

Weight gain and weight management are two of the most common questions we get asked by our patients at OMC; and that’s because almost every woman going through (peri)menopause will experience a change in their body shape.

With that in mind, we are dedicating April’s Menopause Cafe to (Peri)menopause and Weight Management to help shed some light on this area of menopause and answer all your burning questions.

Hosted by OMC’s Naturopath, Dr Vera Martins, this Cafe will cover the factors that play a significant role in weight management including fluctuations in female hormone levels, genetics, hunger hormones, stress levels and sleep.

Topics that we’ll cover in April’s Cafe:

  • How stress and insulin resistance affect weight
  • Understanding the hunger hormones and how to optimise them
  • How our hormone balance can impact our weight
  • Sleep and the relationship with our weight
  • Tips and advice on eating healthily and why you need to avoid quick fix diets
  • The significance of self-care

OMC’s Menopause Cafe is open and free to attend for all OMC Patients, friends, and family but numbers are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment.
